Dr. Izukanji Sikazwe, MBChB, MPH is the Chief Executive Officer for the Centre for Infectious Disease Research in Zambia (CIDERZ). Dr. Sikazwe earned her medical degree from the University of Zambia, School of Medicine in 2002. She completed Internal Medicine specialty training at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and Infectious Disease specialty training at the University of Maryland, and has a Masters’ degree in Public Health from Michigan State University. Dr. Sikazwe has worked for several years providing direct clinical patient care to people living with HIV and other infectious diseases in both urban and rural communities in Zambia. She continues to practice clinical medicine at the Adult Infectious Disease Centre of Excellent at University Teaching Hospital.
