Anne is a health systems specialist with over 15 years experience working with both the public and development sectors. Universal health coverage sums up her vision for the health sector. She is passionate (if not frantic!) about ensuring that all people can access the quality healthcare they need without financial hardship.

Anne is the Regional director, East and Southern Africa at ThinkWell. Her work focuses on financing reforms to strengthen primary health care, with a focus on PHC funding mechanisms, financial flows to primary healthcare facilities and strategic purchasing reforms at both national and sub-national levels. Anne started her career in the public sector, where she worked as a hospital medical superintendent and district medical officer of health.  She holds a MSc in Public health- Disease Control from the Institute of Tropical Medicine in Belgium, Antwerp and a Bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nairobi, Kenya.
