Jane Karonga is an experienced trade, industrialization, infrastructure and health expert with demonstrated history in government, universities, and think-tanks She is currently an economist in the Regional Integration Section (RIS) within the Regional Integration and Trade Division (RITD) of the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). Prior to joining the UN in 2011, she had been working successively for Nashville Community College in Tennessee, United States and The Herald, Harare, Zimbabwe. She has over 15 years of experience conducting research and providing advisory services to African countries and stakeholders. She has developed and conducted a number of capacity building programmes, particularly on trade, health, and infrastructure in Africa.
