Chioma Cindy Dan- Nwafor is a Senior Technical Officer, Africa CDC, Western RCC, Abuja, Nigeria.
She is a Biomedical Scientist, with a Master of Public Health in Field Epidemiology and a Distinguished Fellow of US-CDC IMPACT program.
In the last 18 years, she has served in different capacities within clinical medicine and public health practice.
As an Epidemiologist and risk management officer at the Africa CDC, she supported various outbreak responses including COVID-19, EVD, Cholera, Marburg. She was the National Incident Manager of the Lassa fever EOC at the Nigeria CDC.
Chioma has extensive hands-on experience in public health emergency management, disease surveillance and epidemiology, IHR, research, partnership-building, IPC, AMR, immunization programmes and workforce development.
Chioma has contributed to the development of various public health guidelines and policy documents with several publications in reputable journals. She has presented numerous papers at conferences and won awards.
