Howard is an Epidemiologist with over 14 years of experience in public health research, health economics, and emergency preparedness and response. He began his career as a Public Health Officer in Zimbabwe and worked through the public health system between 2009 and 2017. Howard also has experience working in the NGO sector, particularly in the field of HIV/AIDS research, having served as a Data and Research Analyst with the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI). One of his main achievements was integrating VMMC program into the Results-based Financing architecture, improving quality and contributing towards HIV Prevention. He has also worked with the FETP in Zimbabwe to coordinate and supervise residents and is currently the Regional Technical Specialist for Public Health Institutes and Research with Africa CDC. Howard holds a BSc and MPH-FETP from the University of Zimbabwe. He also holds Postgraduate qualifications in Health Economics from the University of Cape Town.
