Jonathan Mwanza is a Communication Specialist with over 10 years of experience in Public Health Policy, Health System Strengthening, and clinical research fields which include conducting and managing research; funding; supporting public health programs; as well as engaging with partner organizations at regional and country levels to ensure collaboration and alignment between different efforts for the roll-out of different public health concerns. He has considerable experience in teaching public health and building programs that support capacity building. He has published peer-reviewed articles in different scientific journals as the first author and reviewed many scholarly articles in the areas of HIV, COVID-19, and maternal health. His main areas of interest are teaching public health, studies on health systems, policy analysis, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS, emergency preparedness and response, and maternal and child health programs in Africa. And also evaluating the current model of HIV care to inform health policy and overall strengthening of existing health systems. He is currently concluding his studies as a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Health System and Policy Analysis at the University of the Witwatersrand- South Africa.
