Neema Kamara is a technical officer for Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR) Division of the Africa Centres for Diseases Control and Prevention. Her primary work focuses on the humanitarian health emergency, knowledge management, data and research. Since she joined Africa CDC in September 2021, Neema has undertaken several responsibilities including leading prioritization and risk ranking of epidemics in the continent, disease outbreak response and development of key documents for Emergency Preparedness and Response. Prior to joining Africa CDC, Neema worked as a coordinator for implementation of International Health Regulations (2005) at the Ministry of Health, Tanzania. Her areas of expertise include diseases surveillance, epidemiology, public health emergency management, antimicrobial resistance, global health security and research.
