This side event will highlight the crucial role of the private sector in building the capacity of public health systems in Africa. We will explore and discuss the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention’s (Africa CDC) vision for a New Public Health Order and how the private sector can contribute to its realization. The event will cover topics that highlight the functional areas where Avacare Health and other private sector companies can assist such as: pandemic preparedness prevention and response, research and development, workforce development, regional manufacturing of diagnostics, vaccines and pharmaceuticals and digital health.
Through an engaging panel discussion in the form of an interactive mediated session, we will bring together leaders, experts, and stakeholders from the private sector, academia, technology partners and government agencies.
The event will provide a platform for sharing success stories, opportunities and challenges, and innovative approaches employed by the private sector to strengthen public health systems in Africa. It will also facilitate dialogue and collaboration between different sectors to drive sustainable solutions in proposed regulation to facilitate capacity building in across the continent.
