In alignment with CDC Africa’s vision for A New Public Health Order, this side event asks the question: “How can we finance primary care systems that work for everyone”?

During this side event, we will hear from panelists representing a diverse group of stakeholders and countries. Panelists will be invited to share case studies and examples of ways to better plan, finance and implement primary care, all while protecting patients from the financial burden of seeking care. Representatives from NGO and civil society organizations will be invited to share their perspectives on the role of external funding for primary care, while Ministry of Health representatives may share experiences from revenue raising to defining packages of care.
