Interpersonal Communication (IPC) for health is essential for public health institutions and the workforce. Based on a new global resource – Integrated IPC Package – during this interactive session, participants will learn:

• Why IPC matters in Africa: a closer look at the evidence on the importance of client-provider relations

• Decision-makers appreciate the value of IPC and the need to institutionalize IPC skills building in pre-service and in-service training as well as in performance reviews

• How different aspects of effective IPC skills and how IPC contributes to sustainable social and behaviour change for quality of care, including experience of care
