Vaccination saves millions of lives and promotes healthier, better educated and more prosperous communities. However, under-vaccinated populations still exist for a range of reasons: there may be geographic, social, socio-economic or political factors, or other barriers that hinder vaccination. Systematically addressing barriers requires an understanding of individuals’ Journey to Health and Immunization.

During this two-hour interactive workshop participants will be asked to role-play different characters and invited to walk the Journey to Health while acting out the many drivers and barriers along the way. This activity will highlight the key opportunities for intervention and illustrate best practices from implementation experiences.
