Catherine Karezeki is currently the Medical Director, Kenya Diabetes Management and Information Centre where she has been involved, as a director, since 2000. At the Centre, she is involved in various projects including: enhancing community diabetes awareness, education and prevention in Kenya; Changing Diabetes in Children; and investigating psychosocial aspects of diabetes in children. Previously, Catherine held faculty appointments at Rhodes University, South Africa,University of Nairobi and United States International University, Kenya. She also worked as a research scientist at the Kenya Medical Research Institute and as a consultant in drug regulatory affairs at the National Quality Control Laboratory Nairobi; Pharmacy and Poisons Board, Kenya; and the Medicines Control Council, South Africa.
