George is a highly experienced Health Systems Expert with over 20 years of experience in global health issues. As the Partnership Lead at Africa CDC, he excels in partnership management, strategic planning, and project management, consistently delivering impactful results. George has designed, managed, and planned various health interventions, ranging from single-country initiatives to multi-country projects.

Before joining Africa CDC, George served as the Director of Partnerships at the Urban Research and Development Centre for Africa. He also worked with the US CDC in Uganda and Kenya, gaining expertise in Routine Immunization programs. George's expertise extends to polio and measles surveillance, having supported these efforts in Ethiopia as a Stop Transmission of Polio (STOP) alumni.

George's leadership style is characterized by his ability to inspire others, foster innovation, and drive results. He holds an MSc in Health Systems Management and MSc in Nursing, he is deeply passionate about leveraging his skills and experience to contribute to advancing public health. George is committed to achieving Africa CDC's mandate of safeguarding the health and well-being of Africa's diverse population through strategic partnerships.
