Adda Faye became the Chief Financial Officer at the Global Fund in June 2020. Leading the Finance and Administration Division, she oversees the financial management and administration functions of the Global Fund. Faye plays a key role in ensuring adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, while protecting and optimizing the financial resources to accelerate the Global Fund’s mission to end HIV, tuberculosis and malaria.
Faye brings over 15 years of experience in strategic financial management, starting her career as an analyst with the Gambian Ministry of Finance under the divestiture program responsible for public enterprise performance. Before joining the Global Fund, she served as a financial analyst with UNESCO in Paris as part of their Young Professionals Programme. Faye studied finance and economics at New Jersey City University and earned a master’s in financial aspects of decision management at the University of Bedfordshire. She also completed an advanced management and leadership course at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford.
