Exemplars in Global Health: Celebrating country successes and navigating the future: Bright spots at the Intersection of Primary Health Care and Epidemic Preparedness: Ghana, Rwanda, Uganda, Zambia

Exemplars in Global Health (EGH) brings together experts, funders, and partners around the world with the mission of identifying positive global health outliers, analyzing what makes countries successful, and disseminating core lessons so they can be adapted in comparable settings. In this side event, a consortium of Exemplars in Global Health partners from African countries of study (including Ghana, Nigeria, Uganda, Rwanda, Zimbabwe and Zambia) will present on lessons learned at the national and subnational level on promising practices for health systems strengthening, pandemic preparedness, and efficient primary health care systems, and improved diagnostics service delivery. Along with regional peers, they will explore how to action findings that align with key objectives within the Africa’s New Public Health Order, namely the strengthening of public health institutions and workforce, and promoting action-oriented and respectful partnerships.
