This interactive session will bring together key stakeholders including researchers, funding agencies, and public health experts, to engage in a dynamic discourse exploring strategies to accelerate R&D capacity building initiatives across the continent. The panel discussion will emphasise sustainable funding mechanisms, mentorship programs and collaborative partnerships. During the session, GSK will announce the launch of a new research funding opportunity to support early career scientists conducting infectious disease research, further catalysing R&D capacity strengthening in Africa.
